Birdlife South Africa 
Birdlife South Africa is the leading organisation in South Africa for everyone interested in birds and their survival. The society has 8000 members in 40 branches and affiliates throughout South Africa. Their mission is to promote the enjoyment, conservation and understanding and study of wild birds and their habitat. They have a passion for birds and work through people interested in birds.

Birdlife International 
BirdLife International is a global Partnership of conservation organisations that strives to conserve birds, their habitats and global biodiversity, working with people towards sustainability in the use of natural resources. BirdLife Partners operate in over one hundred countries and territories worldwide.

African Bird Club
ABC is an organization that produces a bi-annual magazine on the birds of Africa and related Islands. African Bird Club and its members provides a worldwide focus for African Ornithology.

The Zululand Birding Route  
The Zululand Birding Route is a project of BirdLife SA, focused on conserving birds and their habitats by promoting and developing birding tourism in the region. The Zululand Birding Route is currently managed under the Birdlife SA Rio Tinto Avitourism programme which helps conserve birds in Zululand by giving them direct financial value.

The Percy FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology (affectionately known as the Fitztitute)
The Percy FitzPatrick Institute (University of Cape Town) aims are to promote and undertake scientific studies involving birds.  

Avian Demography Unit Department of Statistical Sciences,
University of Cape Town Research at the ADU focuses on large scale demographic studies in which participation by amateurs is a vital element. The ADU has continued to be closely associated with Birdlife South Africa and has a formal partnership relationship with that organization, with the objective of fostering the development of further ornithological projects.

RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) 
The RSPB is a UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all.

Biodiversity Explorer Biodiversity Explorer is devoted to showing and explaining the diversity, biology and interactions of life in southern Africa, including birds.
